British Values
We enable students to develop their self-knowledge, self-esteem and self-confidence as well as encourage them to respect each other and other’s opinions. We encourage children to discuss a wide range of issues such as; how we consider the concept of right and wrong; what it means to take responsibility; how we contribute to society; how we are tolerant of each other and our cultural traditions.
RE and PSHE lessons offer children a forum to openly discuss and articulate their thoughts on various issues. We actively promote tolerance and understanding of different cultures and faiths. Topical items are also discussed in assemblies (
Our School Pupil Parliament:
- Is made up of democratically elected pupils from each class
- Meets with the Principal to discuss pupil voice
- Is encouraged to discuss with their classmates items on an agenda to take back to other meetings
